A note from Cindy:
The total price for a side of beef, cut and wrapped
is approx $2.50 - $2.95 / lb. If you compare at the grocery store, your
prime steaks and roasts can cost up to $27/ lb. Your lean ground beef and
lesser quality cuts will be less, but overall, the $2.50 - $2.95 / lb is lower
than most meat order prices we have compared to, and much lower than grocery
store prices. As we are a smaller ranch, sell by word of mouth without
the "middle men", and move
smaller volumes at any one time; I am confident that we can offer a very good
deal.
The butcher is great. They help you decide
what size you want your roasts to be, how you want your meat wrapped and
whether you need the soup bones or unique cuts. You can have the :
"prime" cuts as roasts and steaks or have some or the lesser cuts as
pot roasts, stir fry meat, stewing meat
or ground beef. How much of each kind of cut you get depends on what you
use. One family may need more hamburger, another would prefer stew
beef. You can add value to your order
by asking for pre-formed ground beef patties or sausages. Everyone has
different needs, which can be catered to, and our butcher has been very helpful
as you place your cut order.
I hope this helps you as you plan your meat order.
Sincerely,
Cindy Waslewsky
