Cow Play

When: Saturday afternoons

We may run 2 groups to allow for smaller numbers, more individual attention and differing abilities. We have one group from 2:00-3:30 and another from 3:30-5:00 PM.

Description:

Get the “cow instinct” going on your horse in this small group clinic layout. Learn to bring out the natural ability and cow sense in your horse as you work the cows in a controlled, safe setting. You will learn to rate the cow and turn it back with the correct aids and timing. Learn to read cattle and refine your skills to work cattle more efficiently. This clinic will encourage a timid horse to enjoy the job of working cattle and polish the maneuvers of a more confident horse.

No previous experience is necessary as each horse and rider team is working at their own pace. Herd settling, rating cows, turnback drills, full arena Sorting & intro to team cattle penning can be incorporated.
